Postponement of Portraits of Land and Sea

We have reluctantly decided to postpone our concert scheduled for Saturday, March 14th at St John the Divine until 7:30, May 30 at St Aiden’s Church.

Today the BC Medical Health Officer has recommended that large public events be postposed or cancelled. Although our concert might not meet the threshold of 250 people, we want to ensure that no singer or concert attendee is exposed to illness and do our part in protecting the health of our community. Following health professionals’ recommendation to keep a metre’s distance from others is not possible in a concert event.
For those who have already purchased tickets, we will honour them at our upcoming concert Canadian Tableau at 7:30 PM on May 30th at St Aiden’s Church. Many of the pieces we had planned to perform on March 14th will be included in that program. Ticket holders who cannot attend on May 30th have two options:
1) You may want a refund.
2) You might want to donate the face value of the tickets to Linden Singers and receive a tax receipt.

If you would like a refund or a tax receipt, please return your March 14th tickets to Linden Singers by mail. Please enclose your mailing address and a note indicating whether you want 1) a refund or 2) a tax receipt by April 15, 2020. Use this mailing address:

On March 30, 2020 through musical Portraits of Land and Sea, the choir presents a delightful mix of Canadian and American songs accompanied by piano and violin. Poems of love and landscapes of the countries come alive in song with a special nod to Victoria and Brian Tate’s Emily Carr Suite.
